A Short Trip Northeast

We hiked to this pond with a short paddle so we could pirate a boat that sits on the shore.

A northern Harrier hawk perched on a branch along the banks of the pond.

After hiking to the first pond we headed over to lake Willoughby and the clouds started to move in.

We canoed at Willoughby until it got dark.

We ended the night next to a fire at nice wooded campsite near by.

Here’s a few photos I took yesterday on the first camping mission of the year. We headed up north and drove across the top of Vermont, then drove down the middle. The weather wasn’t the best and we navigated some seriously rough waters on the second morning with all our camping gear in the canoe. But overall, it was a good time as always.
